There is a specific way that the body holds onto the past, its background and experience. This experience is held or "locked-up" in the cells as cellular memory. When treated with kindness and respect the body will reveal its past: its hopes, dreams, fears and ultimately its connection with the universe. Learn to understand the language your body and of the wounded parts of your body in order to unlock the old cellular memory leaving room for the new.
Body Psychology Energetics is an integral way to heal, that works. It resolves your symptoms by taking care of your core, (the root), in a respectful, gradual, and gentle way. It is a highly educational and experiential process by which you learn and experience step-by-step healing and how healing occurs. It gives you the fortunate and wonderful opportunity to take back the responsibility for healing and life.
Body Psychology is a wholistic form of therapy to restore the body, mind, and spirit. It is a radically simple yet potent form of educational body-centered therapy. It is a gentle and effective way to release stress, anxiety, depression, tension, trauma, chronic pain, and suffering giving YOU the opportunity for a more meaningful and richer life.
Body Psychology uses educational, visual and breath techniques to first recognize and then release and resolve stored energetic blockages held in the physical body, and in the energetic bodies. With the use of the client’s internal awareness, sensation, images, and breath, one is guided to these energetic holding places within the body / mind / spirit and a spontaneous letting go naturally occurs. The client will learn to communicate with and learn from their body. The client does not need to be good at imagery or images to have good results. It works with anyone who is eager to learn and to heal.
Body Psychology comes out of the work originated by Rolfer and Psychotherapist, Bill Redpath, called Trauma Energetics. His work comes out of the body-centered psychotherapy field where the body is the focus of the work. The body is used as the access to and source of information and platform for change, instead of our thoughts, beliefs, or life story. The body stores a vast amount of information and it always tells the truth, unlike the common use of the mind. The body is the way to enter the energetic holding pattern of tension and this is how and where the healing takes place.

Trauma is any radical shift of experience that sets off a shock response in our system. Trauma causes us to stay off our center, far after the initial crisis. We can call these off-center states dissociative. Trauma can be characterized as occurring at any time during our existence, suddenly or over longer periods of influence. Trauma does not have to be limited to accidents. Stress and the weakening of our immune system are primary expressions of unresolved trauma. The understanding of the trauma mechanism has been the subject of human focus for as long as time and literature has been recorded. Because of the dissociative chemistries involved, it is often very difficult to be clear about the historical traumatic process in individuals, as well as the ways to get clear of those sequences. Trauma is our essential concern until, through resolution, it is not.
Quotes
“That which haunts us will always find a way out. The wound will not heal unless given witness. The shadow that follows us is the way in."
Rumi
“This being human is a guesthouse, every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of it’s furniture, still, treat each guest honorable. He may be clearing you out for some new delight; The dark thought, the shame, the malice. Meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”
Rumi
"So the pain-body doesn’t want you to observe it directly and see it for what it is. The moment you observe it, feel its energy field within you, and take your attention into it, the identification is broken. A higher dimension of consciousness has come in. I call it presence. You are now the witness or the watcher of the pain-body. This means that it cannot use you anymore by pretending to be you, and it can no longer replenish itself through you. You have found your own inner-most strength. You have accessed the power of now.”
Eckhart Tolle
On Joy and Sorrow
Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven? And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives? When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Some of you say, "Joy is greater than sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater"
But I say unto you, they are inseparable. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy. Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced. When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.
Kahlil Gibran - The Prophet
Testimonial
“Being a molested child, I have sought all kinds of therapy for many years. TE with Don has changed my life profoundly; it is the best therapy I have experienced. I used to feel that I didn’t belong in the world, that I was a mistake somehow. I was scared to answer the phone -- the doorbell sent me straight into a panic attack. Since TE, I feel like I can go to the grocery store and it is OK for me to be there. I feel I am no better but no worse than anyone else, and that I belong on the planet.”
